Wedding by Kathleen Mitchell-Askar

fired up on old bones

our motor roar

only sound

in the cold

unstruck bell of winter

below something blue

early morning

newly we

ride between

sedimented

canyon walls

time stacked up in limestone

we borrow out

I will only ever see your face

in old light

and as it appeared eight minutes ago
