Naomi Shihab Nye has been Young People’s Poet Laureate (Poetry Foundation) and has written or edited more than 30 books of poetry & prose. She lives in San Antonio. Her most recent book is Grace Notes: Poems About Families. She and her friend Marion Winik edited I Know About a Thousand Things – The Writings of Ann Alejandro of Uvalde, Texas. For 50 years, she has worked as a visiting writer all over the world.
